Happy National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive Day!
Today is also No Socks Day, but it's entirely too cold here in northeast Indiana to go without socks.
This morning, when we went to pick up our mail, we took a sack with non-perishable food items (that we actually like!!) to the post office since we don't have home mail delivery.
The orange ribbon is used for hunger awareness. The orange ribbon is also associated with many other causes.
If you missed the NALC "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive, you can take your items to your local food bank, such as the Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana or these churches. Also, but searching for "food bank" and your city.
